With Pruning comes new growth and with growth comes changes.

  In Puerto Escondido the annual government Independence day celebrations were cancelled by striking teachers (now being 5 months) taking over the center plaza in our town, but God gave us favour with them and they allowed us to do a Christian Independence day show. The teacher in charge who has attended our church said ¨That's great, now the teachers will hear the gospel."

  Applying changes, that we saw in Australia at Hillsong church, into our services to make each meeting more dynamic and energetic has resulted in our youth group tripling in size in 3 weeks (from 10-37). Non-Christian youth are coming off the street and bringing their friends to the services. The men are actually responding to altar calls and are igniting with vision. We actually saw 12 men respond one day and only 2 women. The video series that Pastor Chuck from KCC gave us is impacting our men. During Sunday services people come off the street and are going to the altar to surrender their hearts to the Lord.

  The institute, because of its complete life vision is drawing young people off the street, giving hope and vision and is becoming a true discipleship tool in God's hands. Wednesday 2 young men came off the street, both gave their hearts to the Lord. One (Israel) was following John around like a lost sheep so John talked to him. Israel said that he has had revelations and feels that God wants him to be a pastor. John explained to him that its a process and if he wants to be a pastor he needs to follow a teacher and be pastored into becoming one. The next day he had enlisted into the institute as a full time day student. Juana as well walked by the church for years and finally came in 3 weeks ago. She has entered into the institute despite the persecution from her catholic family.  Although she has not formally said the sinner's prayer, she is growing by leaps and bounds in her love and worship of the Lord.
